Tour Options

Whale Watching & Coastal Cultural Experience

Explore some of Sydney's spectacular coastal locations while learning about the continuing connection Aboriginal people have with Saltwater Country.

Possible locations include:

  • North Head (Manly)

  • Barrenjoey Lighthouse (Palm Beach)

  • South Head / The Gap (Watsons Bay)

Throughout the tour, guests will learn about:

  • Acknowledgement of Country

  • History of the Gurawal

  • Connection to Saltwater Country

  • Saltwater healing and self-care

  • The importance of Country

  • Aboriginal seasonal calendars

  • Native plants and animals

  • Walking respectfully on Country

  • Aboriginal artefacts and traditional knowledge

During whale season, guests may also enjoy whale watching while learning about the cultural significance of whales. Aboriginal artefacts will also be displayed, with explanations of how they were traditionally made and used.

Berry Island & Ku-ring-gai Cultural Experience

Begin with a guided walking tour through Berry Island Reserve before travelling to significant Aboriginal heritage sites within Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.

Guests will learn about:

  • Local clans, tribes and families

  • Bush medicine

  • Bush tucker

  • Native plants and animals
