Culturally Immersive Incursions and Excursions
Culturally Immersive Incursions and Excursions
KACHS Culturally Immersive Incursions and Excursions provide meaningful learning experiences informed by Aboriginal cultural experts and knowledge holders. These sessions create opportunities to learn directly on Country or within learning environments, sharing knowledge of land, waterways, plants, animals, and salt and freshwater ways of knowing.
Our incursions and excursions honour the cultural knowledge passed down through generations and are guided by Aboriginal perspectives that emphasise respect, responsibility, and connection to Country. Participants are supported to understand the deep relationships between people, land, waters, and all living things, and the importance of caring for and protecting these environments.
Sessions may include learning about local landscapes, traditional uses of native plants, waterways and marine systems, animal habitats, seasonal knowledge, and cultural responsibilities to Country. Experiences are delivered in a culturally safe and respectful way and are tailored to the age, setting, and learning needs of each group.
KACHS incursions and excursions are designed to support understanding, curiosity, and respect while offering hands-on, place-based learning that encourages reflection and connection. These experiences support both education and wellbeing by creating space for shared learning, listening, and yarning.
