Weaving Workshops
Aboriginal Weaving Workshops
Our Aboriginal Weaving Workshops offer hands on cultural learning experiences that support connection, mindfulness, and shared learning through traditional Aboriginal weaving practices. Delivered by Aboriginal knowledge holders, these workshops provide participants with meaningful insight into cultural traditions, intergenerational knowledge sharing, and the stories woven through this practice.
Workshops are facilitated by Aunty Pam alongside her granddaughter Ashleianne and can be delivered on Country or at your service. Participants are invited into a culturally safe space to learn, listen, yarn, and connect while engaging in creative weaving activities guided by lived knowledge and cultural protocol.
Sessions explore the cultural significance of weaving, the role of storytelling, and the importance of passing knowledge between generations. Participants are guided through a range of weaving techniques that Aunty Pam has learned through cultural knowledge passed down from the Top End and shared by respected Elders. Workshops are trauma informed, respectful, and suitable for beginners through to more experienced participants.
